I didn’t build InPoweredByHER from a textbook… I built it from my life - the messy, disheveled-confusing-mircky-beautiful-interesting and non-traditional life that is all mine.
From the sweat of decades working as a celebrity trainer, wellness expert, actor and writer.
From the sting of menopause hitting me like a plot twist nobody warned me about.
From watching my hair release itself from my scalp, downgrading my life and my possessions at the age of 47 to a tiny room in my sister’s house, the loss of best friends and close family members; including my two beloved cats, to my confidence wobbled- thrown off kilter, my body changing in ways that were foreign to me. And then realizing that this “chapter” wasn’t a chapter at all, it a whole new book and soon to be a documentary.

And baby, I chose to rewrite myself from the inside out.
I built this from the transparency of navigating a long-distance love that grew into a committed partnership, showing me that yes… women over 40 can have whole new love stories and women over 50 are learning to be smart in love. This love is now richer, deeper, slower, sweeter and on your terms.
And from the humbling truth that even with all my training, all my accolades and awards, all my optimism… I still needed community, strategy, and companionship while my body and my life evolved.
